Head Gasket Repair

The head gasket works to seal both the compression of your car's cylinders as well as the coolant which flows between the block and the head. Your car can overheat easily if the head gasket is blown. Click here to learn more about signs of a blown gasket.

Blown Head Gaskets

The head gasket is located between the engine block and cylinder, and seals both the compression of the cylinders and the coolant which flows between the block and the head. The first sign of a blown gasket if if there are combustion gasses getting into the cooling system. If you have frothy oil in your engine is another way to see if your gasket is blown.

Head Gasket Leaks

If there is a compression leak in your head gasket, this means that the gasses are goign into the cooling jacket and will probably displace the coolant. If recently poured coolant has been pushed out of your radiator, there is a good chance the gasket is blown as well.
