Fuel Problem Repair
If your pressure guages are giving an extremely high reading, there is a good chance that something may be wrong with one of your fuel pumps. Unproper pressure in your vehicle can result in serious problems, like over or under heating.
Fuel Pumps
The electrical fuel pump is the heart of every electronic fuel injection system. It can usually be found inside or near the fuel tank, and works to push fuel from the tank to the injectors as well as create sufficient pressure so the injectors will deliver the correct amount of fuel under all operating conditions.
Fuel Pressure Regulators
The fuel regulator's job is to keep the pressure in the fuel system a consistent 28 psi. The way it does this is with a spring-loaded diaphragm that conrols the valve. To find your Fuel Pressure Regulator, follow the fuel rail all the way around your engine. The FPR is the very last thing the fuel rail touches.
